The website is accessible to all with free image credits
In an experimental and limited version since the end of 2023, the Midjourney web platform, which allows you to generate images using AI without using Discord, is officially launched. It is now accessible to everyone and, to celebrate this important development, Midjourney is offering free image generations to non-subscribed users, a first in over a year.
Midjourney: a website accessible to all and 25 free image credits
There Midjourney web platform is finally coming out of its alpha version, after more than six months of testing. Until now, not all users of the AI image generator could use it, access having initially been limited to members who had generated more than 1000 images with the tool. Little by little, Midjourney lowered this limit to 500, then 100 images before, therefore, open your site to the entire community this Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Originally, the generator was accessible via Discord servers: you had to join rooms to write prompts or to make image modifications in a context that was neither intuitive nor very ergonomic.
The Midjourney web experience is now open to everyone. We are also temporarily enabling free trials for you to test it out. Enjoy!
Now, on a single web interface, you will find your creations, those of other users, configuration and editing tools, chat rooms and, of course, a creative space to generate your images. On this site, everything is much more intuitive for users, even if the most traditionalists will still be able to use the Discord servers if they wish. Newcomers, for their part, will be offered 25 generations of images, or 100 visuals since for each request, Midjourney offers four creations.

How to join the Midjourney web platform
Long-time users must log in with their Discord account on the web platform if they wish to obtain their generation history. These “old” users who migrate to the website will be able, in their account settings, to link their Discord account to a Google account in order to be able to log in with one or the other as they wish. As for new users, they can choose to register with a Google account as with a Discord account: they will then be credited with 25 free generations.
And if you think you'll miss Midjourney's public Discord channels, you'll find them in a tab Cat many spaces where you can interact with other users, share your creations, find inspiration on various themes and get advice from image generator experts.
